FORMAT OPTIONS: Tactical Laser Tag is a very versatile experience. It can be played as a sport, recreational activity, conditioning exercise, or tactical exercise. Therefore, there are formats that suit each occasion and the needs of the event. Below is some information regarding the format options. The format of an event can dramatically change the experience for the player. For instance, a 7 year old child would have more fun at a private party or public session for youth only. An experienced player (or serious paintballer or video gamer) would prefer a competitive environment like a league or tournament that is for teen and adults only. Parents love to join in the play at private parties but hesitate at public events. Unlike most sports, smaller and younger players are not necessarily at a dissadvantage. Sometimes 12 year old players are as effective as military personnel. Though you are sure to have a great time at any event, the thrill is really memorable when the format is best suited to your needs. |

PRIVATE PARTY OR EVENT: You can have a private party for any group. You select the participants, date, time and location and we'll make sure the missions (gametypes) are what you will enjoy most. We'll set up the battlefield with the players in mind. |
PUBLIC SESSION: A public session is great for getting your first taste of Tactical Laser Tag. Typically, players get in line for their turn. Their teammates and opponents may or may not be people they know. Many of these public events do not restrict age, so the experience is only as intense as the group of players playing. |
LEAGUE: Leagues typically separate players into age groups. Each group will enjoy the experience being tailored to their level of intensity. A variety of missions will be played and scores will be recorded. Win or lose, both teams always have fun. We'll switch up the teams if they are lopsided, unless the organization hosting the league restricts it. You'll find many times that teams dominating in one mission type may not do as well in others. |
TOURNAMENT: Aside from the Tactical Squad Simulator and some really adventurous woods parties, the Tournament format is usually the most intense. Teams are set in advance and scores are recorded. Successful teams will end up playing more games. Many times Tournaments are actually run by a host organization (sometimes as a fundraiser) and they determine the tournament rules and match-ups. |
CAMP: The Camp format usually has the same group of players participating for the full length of the event. Players will learn how to be effective players in a variety of missions. Camps are generally for a specific age group or divided into age divisions. |
