PREPARING FOR YOUR EVENT: 1-Download and print a copy of the waiver form for every participant. Have each player and/or parent complete the form in advance. OR Download the Group waiver form (2 pages) and have the participants and/or parents complete the information as they arrive at your party or event. 2-Communicate to the participants to be early for your event. Don't allow late-comers to delay the fun for everyone else. We will start on time with the participants on hand unless instructed otherwise. Players should be told to wear closed-toed shoes. Long pants are suggested if playing in the woods or if anticipating sliding on artificial turf or other abrasive surface. Otherwise, players should wear whatever is comfortable for the environment and weather. Keep in mind that environment and your ability to blend in to it. 3-Take a look at your anticipated playing area. Keep safety first in mind. Then consider the players ability to move and hide. Avoid long or steep hills that will tire out players. Depending on the environment the battlefield can be anywhere from 100' x 200' to several acres. Outdoor missions with little cover require longer battlefields. Indoor missions with lots of cover or rooms do not require as much. Not only should the battlefield be suited ideally to the missions and players, but also to minimize the down time of walking between the action and rendevous points. Also avoid creeks and ponds, as electronic equipment fears submersion in water. The Tactical Squad Simulator package requires that you, the customer, have the battlefield prepared. Think about movies and video games to come up with ideas. We can provide some basic props for bombs, etc. The more realistic settings and props you can provide will add to the experience. 4-Have plenty of water on hand. Most players will work up a thirst. Having drinks close to the battlefield will enable players to get the most playing time possible. 5-Check out the documents linked below. These can help you prepare for your event. |
